Yorkville man honored by NASA with bong-shaped satellite

November 10, 2005

Chris Spitzer, Indiana alumnus and former Chicago resident, was recently honored by NASA when they renamed the SIRTF satellite as the Spitzer Space Telescope in his honor. A high-ranking NASA official, who requested anonymity, said “this satellite has very sensitive instruments and needs to be able to function in an environment filled with dense clouds of gas. I don’t know about you, but when I think ‘sensitive instruments’ and ‘dense gas’ there is only one person that comes to mind, and that’s Chris Spitzer.”

Chris currently lives in Yorkville, IL and manages an Italian restaurant. He enjoys the simple life of the suburbs and excells at hiring high school girls to work in his ristorante. He also owns and remotely manages Spitzer’s Dress Store on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

We’re proud of you Chris.
